PMO Governance Lead

About the role

The Regional PMO Governance Lead will design, maintain, and evolve the governance framework for all projects across the region. Working closely with Project Managers and cross‑functional teams, you will ensure consistent application of methodologies, standards, and quality controls to drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the PMO governance framework, policies, SOPs, standards, and templates.
• Standardize project management practices across regions and business units.
• Monitor compliance with governance processes, conduct audits, health checks, and stage‑gate reviews.
• Identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation.
• Continuously improve PMO processes, reporting standards, and governance controls.
• Define, track, and report governance KPIs through dashboards and executive summaries.
• Maintain the PMO knowledge repository and deliver governance awareness training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, IT or related field (Master’s preferred).
• PMP certification (required); ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor is a plus.
• 3‑7 years of experience in Project Management or PMO roles.
• Proven experience creating governance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and standards.
• Experience conducting project audits, ensuring compliance, and leading continuous‑improvement initiatives.
