Principal Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and ship end-to-end GenAI/agentic solutions for enterprise clients. You will take concepts from proof-of-concept through production launch, working directly on-site with client engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of GenAI/agentic solutions, from architecture and implementation to production go-live.
• Integrate solutions with client environments, handling authentication, data access, legacy APIs and governance constraints.
• Adapt designs on-site as real-world usage reveals edge cases and new requirements.
• Debug and resolve production issues within the client’s infrastructure.
• Set up monitoring, create hand-off documentation and act as the primary technical contact during delivery.
• Lead delivery pods for GenAI engagements and provide presales support when needed.
• Feed learnings back into practice estimation and pattern libraries while managing client expectations under shifting scopes.

Required profile

• 10-15+ years of production software delivery with hands-on experience in GenAI, LLMs, and agentic architectures.
• Proven ability to turn ambiguous, partially defined designs into stable production systems.
• Strong client-facing communication skills, capable of explaining technical trade-offs under pressure.
• Resilient in on-site, deadline-driven environments.
• Prior forward-deployed, startup or embedded-consulting experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Full-stack development across GenAI application layers (orchestration, retrieval, integration, deployment).
• Debugging across infrastructure, application code, and model behavior.
• Enterprise integration experience (SSO, legacy APIs, data governance).
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock/Strands Agents, Google Vertex AI.
• Familiarity with open-source frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
