Principal MEP Engineer – Building Services

About the role

WSP Middle East is looking for a Principal MEP Engineer to lead building services design for projects across the Middle East, based in Amman, Jordan. You will ensure technical excellence and support multidisciplinary delivery from concept through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver mechanical design packages for building services projects.
• Design HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire‑protection systems.
• Ensure designs comply with international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS) and local authority requirements.
• Contribute to sustainable, energy‑efficient design solutions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
• Prepare and review technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–15 years of experience in mechanical building services design.
• Strong knowledge of international standards and local authority requirements.
• Experience on commercial, residential, or mixed‑use building projects.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Prior experience in the Middle East is preferred.
