Procurement Engineer – Tendering Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Engineer with a focus on tendering to support our construction projects. The successful candidate will prepare cost estimates, analyse specifications and drawings, and ensure that all purchases are aligned with project budgets and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project documents, drawings and specifications to determine material and service requirements.
• Request and evaluate price offers from suppliers, subcontractors and vendors based on actual quantities.
• Prepare quantity calculations and pricing comparison sheets for received offers.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to meet project budgets.
• Prepare material submittals for project approval and attend technical meetings.
• Review tender documents, coordinate with suppliers for pricing offers and ensure proposals meet specifications.
• Monitor tender invitation portals and submit pricing sheets to approved suppliers.
• Write and submit queries to consultants for clarifications on BOQ, specifications and designs.

Required profile

• Experience in construction procurement and tendering processes.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret drawings, specifications and BOQ.
• Proven negotiation skills with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ability to work closely with engineering, commercial and project teams.
