Programme Analyst, Women’s Economic Empowerment

About the role

The Programme Analyst will support UN Women’s Women’s Economic Empowerment portfolio in Jordan, focusing on the green economy. Reporting to the Portfolio Lead, the analyst will provide technical inputs to programme design, implementation, monitoring and partnership management.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of strategies and initiatives that promote women’s participation in green economic sectors.
• Prepare programme documents, annual workplans, budgets and implementation plans.
• Identify strategic partnerships and innovative approaches to enhance women’s access to decent work and green value chains.
• Analyze policy and sector trends to inform programme design.
• Lead the coordination of calls for proposals, technical review committees and partner capacity assessments.
• Review and monitor financial and narrative reports from implementing partners.
• Provide training on Results‑Based Management and support partners in implementation.
• Offer technical assistance and capacity‑building to programme partners.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., economics, development studies, gender studies, environmental studies).
• Experience in programme management, preferably in gender‑focused or green‑economy projects.
• Familiarity with UN results‑based management and reporting frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government, NGOs, private sector and development partners.
