Quantity Surveyor – Office (Construction)

About the role

ASALI Engineering Consulting & Project Management is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work in the office environment, supporting multidisciplinary projects across architecture, engineering and construction. The role involves preparing accurate cost assessments, managing tender processes and ensuring robust commercial evaluation throughout project lifecycles.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs, cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings and specifications for quantity and cost requirements.
• Develop and review tender documents, pricing schedules and cost breakdowns.
• Evaluate contractors’ and subcontractors’ quotations and commercial submissions.
• Assess variation orders, claims and change requests.
• Verify interim payment applications and completed quantities.
• Support project teams with cost control, budgeting and commercial reporting.
• Prepare comparative statements and assist in tender evaluation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers and other disciplines on cost‑related matters.
• Maintain accurate project cost records, quantity databases and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in quantity surveying.
• Strong experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take‑offs, cost estimation and tendering.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and contractual documentation.
• Experience in cost control, variation order evaluation and payment assessment.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and reporting abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
