Release and Deployment Engineer

About the role

The Release and Deployment Engineer is responsible for supporting software deployment activities across QA, staging and production‑like environments. The role works closely with development, QA, architecture and DevOps teams to ensure reliable and repeatable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and monitor Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for .NET‑based applications.
• Maintain deployment checklists, rollback procedures and release documentation.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot applications on Windows (IIS, Windows Services) and Linux (Nginx, systemctl) servers.
• Run basic SQL queries, support database backup/restore and script execution.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash or similar scripting tools.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, architects and DevOps engineers to resolve deployment issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in release management or deployment engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures.
• Good communication, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
