Senior Accountant

About the role

REDA Chemicals is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Amman, Jordan. The role involves managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month‑end, audit, and statutory compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage petty cash transactions and perform regular reconciliations.
• Verify supporting documents for expenses and accounting entries before posting.
• Handle daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, inter‑company, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support inventory costing, landed cost calculations, and related accounting transactions.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities, meeting required deadlines.
• Prepare periodic financial and operational reports for management.
• Analyse accounting data, identify variances, and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation for audit and compliance.
• Support internal and external audit requirements and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local tax regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of petty cash management, accounts payable/receivable, month‑end closing, and reconciliations.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and follow‑up skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 (preferred ERP system).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems.
