Senior Data and Systems Management Consultant (12-month contract)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Senior Data and Systems Management Consultant for a 12‑month fixed‑term assignment in Amman, Jordan. The role is on‑site and open to Jordanian nationals only. You will lead the optimisation of data management processes and the technological infrastructure that supports UNICEF’s programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance system security by implementing new measures and protocols to protect against threats and unauthorized access.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular auditing, cleansing, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Provide support for payment processes and integrate artificial‑intelligence solutions into existing systems.
• Track and monitor performance issues, optimise system performance, and resolve infrastructure‑related challenges.
• Oversee the overall data and technology environment to guarantee smooth operations throughout the contract period.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in data management, systems administration, security, networking, application development and Azure cloud platforms.
• At least 3 years of experience working within non‑governmental organisations (NGOs).
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services (VMs, storage, networking, security, application gateways, hybrid connectivity).
