Senior Internal Controls Analyst - Group

About the role

The Senior Internal Controls Analyst – Group leads the design, implementation, documentation, monitoring and effectiveness review of internal controls across the organisation’s entities, plants, sites and shared‑service functions. The role ensures that core business cycles operate with robust controls, reducing financial leakage and risk exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute end‑to‑end reviews of core cycles such as procure‑to‑pay, order‑to‑cash, inventory, record‑to‑report, HR/payroll, treasury and capex.
• Map, document and assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls, including segregation of duties and delegation of authority.
• Identify control gaps, design weaknesses and inefficiencies; benchmark practices and drive standardisation across plants.
• Draft, review and maintain finance‑related policies, procedures, SOPs and delegation‑of‑authority matrices.
• Support process owners in documenting clear policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide practical, cost‑effective recommendations, agree remediation plans and track actions to closure.
• Prepare concise control review reports and periodic dashboards for senior management.
• Conduct regular site visits to detect early control breakdowns, fraud risks and non‑compliance, and support ad‑hoc reviews and new system implementations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in internal controls, finance or audit functions.
• Strong knowledge of finance processes such as procure‑to‑pay, order‑to‑cash, inventory, record‑to‑report, HR/payroll, treasury and capex.
• Proven ability to design, document and evaluate control frameworks and segregation of duties.
• Experience in drafting and maintaining finance policies, procedures and SOPs.
• Ability to work across multiple sites, build relationships with finance teams and drive a control‑centric culture.
