Senior Legal Associate

About the role

Equiti is seeking a Senior Legal Associate to join its Amman office. The role sits within a fast‑growing fintech broker and provides comprehensive legal support across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters. You will work closely with the Senior Legal Manager and business teams to deliver commercially focused advice.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on corporate, commercial and regulatory issues affecting the business.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, policies and regulatory filings.
• Support licensing, regulatory compliance, governance, investigations and regulator engagement.
• Assist with M&A transactions, due diligence and transaction documentation.
• Provide legal support for fund management structures, including mutual and protected cell funds.
• Advise on payment services, PSP matters and fintech‑related legal issues.
• Handle pre‑litigation matters, technical client disputes and regulatory investigations.
• Advise on employment and labour law, contracts, policies and workforce issues.
• Support intellectual property protection, brand management and related commercial agreements.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and inform stakeholders of impacts.
• Manage external counsel relationships and cross‑border legal projects.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
• Training or experience at an international or top‑tier law firm.
• Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commercial mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Preferred experience in financial services, brokerage, capital markets, licensing, regulatory compliance, M&A, fund management or investment structures.
