Senior Mechanical Engineer – Design Team

About the role

Omrania is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design activities within its Design team in Amman, Jordan. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality mechanical engineering solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver mechanical design from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Implement engineering methodologies, standards, and best practices across projects.
• Perform and review engineering calculations, technical analyses, and system evaluations to optimise performance, reliability and cost.
• Prepare, review and coordinate design drawings, specifications, schedules and technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions and resolve design interfaces.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements and company quality procedures.
• Identify technical issues, evaluate alternatives and develop innovative engineering solutions.
• Support project planning, monitor progress against schedules, deliverables and quality standards.

Required profile

• Senior Mechanical Engineer with proven experience leading design tasks.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and work independently.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with clients, contractors, vendors and project stakeholders.
