Senior .NET Software Engineer

About the role

CDC Smart Systems is looking for a Senior .NET Software Engineer to join its Compliance/RegTech platform team in Amman. You will help design, build and ship high‑performance backend services that enable financial institutions to meet AML, sanctions and risk‑assessment requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET Core.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs with ASP.NET/Web API.
• Create reliable data flows using SQL, Entity Framework Core and Dapper.
• Collaborate with product, QA and DevOps to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit/integration tests and enforce clean architecture.
• Debug production issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute ideas that shape architecture, tooling and product direction.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on development with C# and .NET Core.
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET/Web API.
• Strong SQL skills and solid database design, including EF Core and Dapper.
• Experience with an SDLC tool such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Comfortable with HTML, CSS and core JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of clean code, design patterns and secure coding practices.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, ownership‑driven mindset.
