Senior Project Officer

About the role

The Senior Project Officer works closely with the Capacity Building and Programs Development Manager to lead a portfolio of education projects. The role blends technical guidance on teaching and learning with hands‑on project management and supervision of field Project Officers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pedagogical input, review training content and classroom materials to ensure age‑appropriate, sound teaching practices.
• Guide and support Project Officers and teachers, offering concrete feedback and identifying gaps in learning outcomes.
• Design and facilitate adult‑learner training sessions using instructional design principles.
• Manage project implementation against concept notes, supervise field staff, and keep work plans realistic.
• Assist in budget preparation, monitor grant expenditures, and maintain organized project archives.
• Develop training materials that address diverse learning styles and conduct needs assessments.
• Prepare, review and edit progress reports, update targets, and flag critical quality issues.
• Participate in partner meetings, represent Madrasati professionally, and contribute to programme development discussions.

Required profile

• Strong project management experience, preferably in education or training programmes.
• Hands‑on classroom or education programming background with a solid understanding of how students learn.
• Experience supervising field staff and coordinating with multiple partners.
• Ability to analyse work plans, budgets and reporting data.
• Excellent written communication for report preparation and documentation.
