Senior Sales Manager

About the role

Al Salwa Publishers, an award‑winning boutique publishing house specializing in Arabic books for children and young adults, is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead its sales function in Amman. This full‑time, on‑site position will drive commercial growth, expand market reach and build the systems and team needed for the next stage of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Build and lead a high‑performing sales team, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
• Establish sales processes, pipelines, forecasting, and reporting systems.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key accounts, distributors, bookstores, schools, and institutions.
• Identify new markets and business opportunities.
• Drive revenue growth while maintaining healthy profit margins.

Required profile

• 7+ years of successful sales and business development experience.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing markets.
• Experience building teams, processes, and sales strategies.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Commercial mindset with excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to travel to events and book fairs as needed.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Publishing experience is welcome but not essential; candidates from other industries are encouraged.
