Technical Team Leader

About the role

The Technical Team Leader will guide a group of software developers to deliver high‑quality applications that meet product and project objectives. This position blends hands‑on technical oversight with team coordination, ensuring that code, testing and release processes align with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development team through all phases of the software lifecycle, from planning to production.
• Participate in architectural discussions, select technologies and maintain design documentation.
• Estimate effort, set timelines and communicate delivery expectations to the Product Manager.
• Review and approve code, scripts and technical implementations before deployment.
• Enforce feature‑freeze, branch‑freeze and testing deadlines according to sprint policies.
• Produce testing reports, track KPIs such as code quality, test coverage and bug ratios, and monitor hot‑fix rework rates.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, UI/UX, QA and service teams to ensure clear requirements and release readiness.
• Mentor developers, conduct performance appraisals, delegate tasks and resolve conflicts to maintain a motivated team.
• Ensure compliance with internal staging, release and security guidelines and contribute to the knowledge base.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum six years of software development experience, including at least one to two years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage delivery schedules and achieve an 85 %+ on‑time delivery rate.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder updates and risk reporting.

Required skills

• Microsoft .NET Framework (C# or VB.NET).
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular and jQuery.
• XML, Web Services and Web APIs.
• Solid understanding of OOP, SDLC and architectural patterns.
• Advanced database expertise with MS SQL Server or Oracle, including ER diagrams and stored procedures.
