AI & Python Engineer

About the role

DocX Engine is seeking a practical AI & Python Engineer to help build the core of its private document‑intelligence platform for invoices and supplier quotations. This full‑time remote position is open to candidates based in Jordan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Python services, APIs and document‑processing workflows.
• Integrate and evaluate AI/ML components for extraction, validation and review.
• Design reliable data pipelines, tests and observability for real business documents.
• Collaborate directly with the product team on customer use cases and technical decisions.
• Improve reliability, performance and security of the platform.

Required profile

• Strong Python fundamentals and experience building backend services or APIs.
• Practical experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, Git, testing and debugging.
• Interest in document AI, OCR, LLMs, workflow automation or data extraction.
• Clear communication, ownership and ability to work in an early‑stage product environment.
• A degree is welcome but a strong portfolio can substitute.
