Arabic to English Remote Interpreter – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a fluent Arabic‑English interpreter to provide consecutive interpretation from a home office during night‑shift hours. You will be the voice that connects callers and professionals in critical moments such as medical emergencies, 911 calls, court hearings, insurance claims and other high‑stakes situations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate consecutive interpretation between Arabic and English via phone and video platforms.
• Handle calls across healthcare, emergency services, law enforcement, courts, insurance, finance, utilities and general business.
• Convey meaning, tone and intent while remaining neutral and professional.
• Explain cultural nuances when language alone is insufficient.
• Use industry‑specific terminology, especially medical and emergency vocabularies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow client protocols on every interaction.

Required profile

• Native‑level fluency in Arabic and minimum C1 level English (written and spoken).
• High emotional intelligence and ability to stay calm during distressing or urgent calls.
• Strong concentration, active listening, retention and note‑taking under pressure.
• Resilience to sensitive content without performance impact.
• Availability for permanent night‑shift work and a quiet, secure home work environment.

Required skills

• Consecutive interpretation (Arabic‑English).
• Medical terminology proficiency.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient‑privacy regulations.
• Familiarity with court interpretation protocols.
• Professional interpretation certification (e.g., CHIA, NBCMI, CCHI) – preferred.
