Chief of Party – Building Water Infrastructure

About the role

The Chief of Party (CoP) will lead the Building Water Infrastructure (BWI) program in Jordan, a multi‑year USG‑funded initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s water security through planning, design, construction supervision and capacity building.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall technical, managerial and administrative leadership for the BWI program.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the United States Government, the Government of Jordan and key sector stakeholders.
• Ensure program objectives are achieved in line with contract requirements, approved work plans and applicable USG regulations.
• Set strategic direction and oversee multidisciplinary technical teams delivering engineering services.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules and quality to guarantee high‑quality outcomes for 34 water and wastewater projects.
• Support institutional capacity building for the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, the Water Authority of Jordan and water utilities.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience leading large‑scale water infrastructure programs.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑year, multi‑budget projects with international donors.
• Experience working with government agencies and USG contracting regulations.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
