Civil Design Engineer – Solar PV Projects

About the role

We are seeking a senior Civil Design Engineer to lead the structural and civil engineering aspects of large‑scale solar PV projects. You will act as the company’s technical expert, interfacing with clients, EPCs and OEMs to ensure designs meet the highest quality, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and summarise civil/structural project requirements.
• Represent the company in weekly meetings and workshops as the civil and structural specialist.
• Review structural calculations, geotechnical, hydrological and corrosion studies for solar PV plants.
• Check conformity of material specifications against owner requirements and international standards.
• Assess vendor engineering packages related to civil and structural works.
• Evaluate civil and architectural designs for substation buildings, foundations, fences, roads and O&M facilities.
• Prepare comment resolution sheets for engineering submittals following quality standards.
• Review testing procedures and results from a civil/structural perspective.
• Provide design reviews, technical advice and support for tenders and risk assessments.
• Assist the Engineering Manager in decision‑making for civil, structural and geotechnical disciplines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• More than 10 years of experience on mega‑scale PV solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASTM standards and international structural load codes.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Project management certification or on‑site supervision experience is a plus.
