Commis A – Food & Beverage Team Member

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis A to join our Food & Beverage team at a premier hotel in Amman. You will work closely with the culinary team to prepare high‑quality meals, maintain kitchen standards, and support service staff during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold dishes and standard menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and manage food thawing from freezer to refrigerator.
• Maintain accurate food logs, monitor portion sizes, and ensure consistent quality and quantity of output.
• Communicate with the Chef about excess inventory for daily specials and inform service staff of menu changes or out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report maintenance issues, and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb, and moving items safely.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Amman.
