Design Engineer – Civil (Solar PV Projects)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer specialized in civil and structural engineering for large‑scale solar PV plants. You will act as the technical authority on civil matters, supporting project teams, clients, EPCs and OEMs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and summarise civil/structural technical requirements for solar PV projects.
• Represent the company as the civil and structural expert in weekly meetings and workshops.
• Review structural calculations, geotechnical, hydrological and corrosion studies, and overall civil design packages.
• Check conformity of material specifications against owner requirements and international standards.
• Assess vendor engineering documents related to civil and structural aspects.
• Review civil and architectural designs for substation buildings, foundations, fences, roads, O&M buildings, etc.
• Prepare comment resolution sheets and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Validate testing procedures and results from a civil/structural perspective.
• Provide technical advisory for civil, structural and geotechnical disciplines in RE projects and tenders.
• Support the Engineering Manager in decision‑making and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• More than 10 years of technical experience on mega‑scale PV solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASTM standards and international structural load codes.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Project management certification and on‑site supervision experience are a plus.
