Director of Human Resources

About the role

As the Director of Human Resources at IHG, you will shape the employee experience across the hotel, from onboarding through development to exit, ensuring a supportive and high‑performing workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Build and sustain a positive work environment for all colleagues throughout their career journey.
• Lead, educate and train the wider team and General Manager on HR matters and people‑management best practices.
• Design creative initiatives that inspire and motivate staff to deliver unique guest experiences.
• Oversee day‑to‑day HR operations, including reporting, filing and process improvement.
• Analyse the local labour market to keep the hotel’s compensation and benefits offering competitive.
• Enhance the hotel’s reputation in the community and promote employee involvement in local activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent.
• At least four years of HR experience; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Professional HR designation preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all HR matters.
• Fluency in the local language(s); additional languages are advantageous.
