Experienced Associate / Senior - Accounting and Reporting Advisory (Jordan)

About the role

Deloitte is hiring an Experienced Associate / Senior in its Audit and Assurance - Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) practice in Jordan. The role involves taking part in client proposals and overseeing day-to-day operations of engagements, working closely with the team on accounting, reporting and operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, timely client service, deliver high-quality work and build lasting client relationships.
• Research complex accounting matters such as abnormal transactions or acquisitions under IFRS, financial statement and accounting policy reviews, and IFRS impact assessments.
• Coordinate with engagement managers to support account strategies and share insights on prospective client needs.
• Support the planning and execution of projects and maintain professional relationships with client staff and colleagues.
• Assist clients with internal controls, including design, implementation, testing and remediation.
• Apply AI in an audit context to improve efficiency and quality, validate AI-generated outputs against professional scepticism, and follow responsible AI expectations including confidentiality and data integrity.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with one of the Big Four.
• Experience on technical accounting advisory engagements and report writing is desired.
• International accounting qualification preferred: CA, ACCA or CPA (CA preferred).
• Fluent English; bilingual Arabic/English candidates preferred.
