Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet Marriott’s quality standards. This role coordinates daily housekeeping activities, works closely with engineering, front office and laundry teams, and supports the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, prioritize cleaning and update departing‑guest room status.
• Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to resolve discrepancies.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms, prepare and communicate room assignments, and hand over information to the next shift.
• Complete required paperwork and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Follow all company safety, security and uniform policies; report maintenance problems and safety hazards.
• Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities and maintain professional communication.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving carts, standing or walking for extended periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related housekeeping experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 55 lb and moving carts on uneven surfaces.
• Proficiency in using computers for housekeeping reporting and information retrieval.
• Clear, professional communication skills and ability to work flexible shifts.
