MHPSS Data & Evidence Consultant (Remote, 12 months)

About the role

The Global Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Leadership Team at UNICEF seeks a consultant to lead the generation, communication, and application of mental health data and evidence. This 12‑month remote assignment will support decision‑making at community, national, and global levels, strengthening child and adolescent mental health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop operational models, guidance documents, and tools for data‑driven decision‑making.
• Facilitate stakeholder consultations, focus group discussions and scoping reviews.
• Document country experiences, case studies, and lessons learned.
• Produce deliverables aligned with a defined work‑plan and output‑based schedule.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Mental Health, Data Science, Public Health or a related field.
• Proven expertise in mental health data and evidence use.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders to inform programme or policy advocacy.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience conducting scoping reviews, research, FGDs and stakeholder consultations.
• Desirable: experience developing toolkits or simulations for data‑driven decision‑making.
