Nurse (Part‑time, Rapid Recruitment)

About the role

The Syrian American Medical Society Foundation is seeking a part‑time Community Health Nurse to support its Type 1 Diabetes Management Project in Amman. The nurse will act as the primary liaison between beneficiaries, healthcare providers, and project staff, ensuring smooth implementation and timely delivery of services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate identification, registration, and follow‑up of eligible beneficiaries.
• Distribute glucometers, test strips, and related supplies according to approved procedures.
• Provide education on glucometer use and diabetes self‑management to beneficiaries and caregivers.
• Maintain regular communication with beneficiaries to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with community‑based organisations, health facilities, and other stakeholders to facilitate project activities.
• Collect, enter, verify, and update beneficiary data in project databases.
• Track project indicators, prepare regular reports and success stories.
• Monitor stock levels of diabetes supplies and support procurement processes.

Required profile

• Registered nurse with experience in community health or chronic disease programs.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage beneficiary data accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Understanding of Type 1 diabetes care and patient education.

Required skills

• Glucometer operation and maintenance.
• Diabetes education and self‑management counseling.
