QA Team Lead (Software Testing)

About the role

The QA Team Lead is responsible for guiding the quality assurance team to ensure that software products meet established quality standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role involves developing test plans, leading testing activities, and collaborating with development and business groups.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the QA team, establish best‑practice initiatives and develop quality standards.
• Design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks and infrastructure.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end testing, including UAT.
• Audit functionality, monitor outcomes against success measures and produce detailed reports.
• Identify business improvement areas and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor and train junior to senior QA engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, IT or equivalent experience.
• Professional certification such as ISTQB‑CTFL or ISTQB‑CTAL.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and work collaboratively across teams.

Required skills

• Test automation development and maintenance.
• Automation frameworks and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Experience with defect management and test reporting.
