Recreation Supervisor

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring a Recreation Supervisor in Amman, Jordan, to run recreational activities for guests. The role covers creating activity schedules, promoting them, managing equipment and supplies, and supporting guest participation in a safe and enjoyable way.

Key responsibilities

• Create recreational activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software
• Conduct inventory of supplies, materials and equipment and report low stock to the manager
• Encourage, recruit, register and schedule guests for activities, and promote a fun, relaxing atmosphere
• Inform guests about facilities and activities, and explain the rules and regulations for their safety
• Monitor activities, respond to emergencies according to local procedures, and assist injured guests until emergency services arrive
• Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies
• Assist management in training, motivating and coaching staff, and act as a role model
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and follow company policies
• Process customer orders and payments, and improve quality standards

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience
• CPR certification and First Aid certification
• Any certification or training required by local and state agencies
