Senior Information Management Associate – S/NFI (Gaza Response)

About the role

The Senior Information Management Associate will serve as the technical reference for Information Management (IM) and geospatial work supporting the Shelter and Non‑Food Items (S/NFI) programme and MEAL functions. The role oversees data systems, dashboards and GIS products, ensuring accurate and timely information for programme decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate implementation and routine monitoring of IM and GIS activities for S/NFI programming.
• Maintain and update IM systems and programme datasets, ensuring data quality, completeness and timely availability.
• Design, maintain and operate databases, dashboards, automation tools and other IM products in line with IOM policies.
• Provide capacity‑building and technical support to internal staff and implementing partners on tools such as Airtable, KoboCollect and Excel.
• Produce and regularly update reporting products including dashboards, maps, infographics and summary reports.
• Document good practices, develop SOPs and contribute to data collection tools and templates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering or related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or equivalent high‑school diploma with seven years of experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in information management systems, data collection, storage, processing and analysis.
• Experience in humanitarian programmes, specifically Shelter and Non‑Food Items or Common Pipeline programmes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Airtable, KoboCollect, Excel and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of GIS software such as QGIS and ArcGIS.
• Strong analytical skills for statistical information and data validation.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools.
