Senior Psychosocial Counselor

About the role

The Senior Psychosocial Counselor provides comprehensive psychosocial services to clients, including assessments, counseling, and follow‑up support. The role involves direct interaction with individuals and groups, home visits, and coordination with other service providers to ensure continuity of care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs.
• Develop and adjust individualized intervention plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling and psychosocial support.
• Perform home visits, school visits, or other site visits as required.
• Document case procedures, maintain confidentiality, and prepare monthly and annual reports.
• Receive and manage helpline calls (110) for families and children.
• Refer cases to appropriate services and follow up on referrals.
• Offer technical and procedural guidance to newly appointed counselors.

Required profile

• BA and Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
• Professional license to practice in mental health or psychological counseling.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Experience with people with disabilities is an advantage.

Required skills

• Technical writing in both Arabic and English.
• Proficiency with standard computer programs.
