Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer – Airports

About the role

WSP is seeking a Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead design review, technical assurance, and construction supervision on major airport projects in Amman, Jordan. The role focuses on delivering world‑class aviation infrastructure that meets international standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate mechanical designs for HVAC, ventilation, fire protection, and building services systems.
• Provide technical assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure alignment with international aviation standards and regional regulations.

Required profile

• 12‑15+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Mandatory experience on airport or aviation projects.
• Proven track record in design review and construction supervision.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with Middle East projects and international aviation standards is preferred.
