Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer – Airports

About the role

WSP is seeking a Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead design review, technical assurance, and construction supervision on major airport projects in Amman, Jordan. The role ensures that all mechanical systems meet international aviation standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed design reviews of HVAC, ventilation, fire protection, and mechanical building services systems.
• Provide technical assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise construction activities to guarantee compliance with standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain alignment with international aviation standards and regional project requirements.

Required profile

• 12‑15+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Mandatory experience on airport or aviation projects.
• Proven track record in design review and construction supervision.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, fire protection, and mechanical building services.
• Experience collaborating with consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Familiarity with international aviation standards and Middle East projects is preferred.
• Leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
