About the role

Join the hospitality team at The Westin Saraya Aqaba Resort & Spa as a Lifeguard, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests in the pool area. You will be the first line of defense, providing rapid assistance and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and intervene with appropriate rescue techniques when needed.
• Observe the pool area for hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, and guests in distress.
• Enforce facility rules and promote a safe, fun environment.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, towels, and surrounding areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Uphold company policies, confidentiality, and asset protection.
• Welcome guests professionally, assist individuals with disabilities, and ensure a high standard of service.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and inspecting equipment safely.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior lifeguard experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in a resort environment.
• Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks and respond quickly.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
