Senior SATCOM Engineer - Tiger Team

About the role

The Senior SATCOM Engineer will join the Tiger Team at the Joint Training Center (JTC) in Jordan, providing high‑level technical support for satellite‑based communications and enterprise networks. This role involves designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex LAN, WAN, and VoIP infrastructures as well as advanced RF and satellite systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain LAN, WAN, and VoIP networks, ensuring compliance with hardware and software standards.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for enterprise network environments and advanced RF systems.
• Operate, program, and maintain satellite equipment including modems, antennas, amplifiers, converters, and power supplies.
• Utilize test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) for troubleshooting beyond built‑in‑test capabilities.
• Maintain network documentation, inventory of telecommunications supplies, and enforce best‑practice policies for configuration, monitoring, patch management, and security.
• Respond to service requests within established SLAs and conduct root‑cause analysis for network and system issues.

Required profile

• Active US Government Secret clearance (interim acceptable) and US citizenship.
• At least 10 years of experience with installation, repair, and maintenance of satellite communications systems.
• Proven expertise with both commercial and military TDMA/FDMA satellite modems.
• Network+ and Security+ certifications.
• Willingness to travel up to 100 % to support missions.
