Tax Specialist – Corporate Tax Compliance (Amman)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Specialist to lead corporate tax compliance, planning and reporting for our operations in Jordan. The role demands deep knowledge of Jordanian tax legislation, IFRS standards and the ability to advise senior management on tax strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all corporate tax compliance activities and ensure timely filing of tax returns.
• Prepare, review and submit tax returns in line with Jordanian Income Tax and Social Security regulations.
• Handle tax audits, assessments and correspondence with regulatory authorities.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimise the company’s tax position.
• Monitor legislative changes and advise management on regulatory impacts.
• Prepare tax provisions and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants and government entities.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce internal tax controls.
• Support finance and accounting teams on tax‑related matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Preferred certifications such as CTA, CPA, CMA or ACCA.
• Minimum 10 years of taxation experience, preferably within Jordan.
• Strong knowledge of Jordanian tax laws and IFRS standards.
• Proven experience dealing with tax authorities and handling audits.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
