Accountant – Retail & Jewelry Finance

About the role

The Accountant will oversee daily financial operations for Ehssan Jewelry, a leading jewellery retailer in Jordan. Working on‑site in Amman, you will ensure accurate recording of transactions, maintain robust ledgers and support the shop’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Record all financial transactions and maintain up‑to‑date ledgers.
• Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare and issue invoices, monitor cash flow and manage vendor and customer accounts.
• Support inventory valuation for gold and jewellery stock.
• Produce periodic financial reports and assist in budgeting processes.
• Ensure compliance with Jordanian accounting standards and tax regulations.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial accounting and bookkeeping, including ledger management and account reconciliation.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting and basic financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational abilities.
• Good understanding of local accounting regulations and tax requirements.
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate with sales, operations and management teams.
• Prior experience in retail, jewellery or inventory‑focused environments is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
