ASP.NET Developer – FMIS Project (7‑month contract)

About the role

UNRWA is seeking an experienced ASP.NET Developer to support the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) project. The consultant will work from the HQA office in Amman with the possibility of remote work across UNRWA operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain FMIS modules using ASP.NET/.NET Core and related Microsoft technologies.
• Implement organizational hierarchy, premises management, project management, dashboards, reporting, and GIS‑related features.
• Create backend services, APIs, and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Provide daily technical support, troubleshoot issues, and perform bug fixing and performance optimisation.
• Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with UNRWA standards.
• Support deployment, UAT, production releases and post‑go‑live stabilisation.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides and user manuals.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and report progress regularly.

Required profile

• University degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in web application development with ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server.
• Proven experience in enterprise application development, API creation and system integration.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.

What we offer

• Monthly remuneration of JOD 996.42 (or equivalent USD) for each fully completed month.
• Fixed‑term 7‑month contract with possible extension based on funding and need.
• Flexibility to work onsite at HQA Amman or remotely across UNRWA field locations.
