Cable Plant Engineer Tech-II

About the role

The Cable Plant Engineer Tech‑II will be responsible for installing, testing and maintaining fiber‑optic, copper and coaxial cabling systems for Valkyrie Enterprises in Amman, Jordan. The role involves working in manholes, conduit ducts and trenches to deliver reliable telecommunications infrastructure for both tactical and commercial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver, install and work in manholes and conduit ducting systems.
• Install, pull, splice and test fiber‑optic, copper and coaxial cabling.
• Terminate and maintain fiber‑optic (including fusion splicing) and copper/coaxial connections.
• Install fiber‑optic modems, multiplex equipment, patch panels, main and intermediate distribution frames, and lightning protection systems.
• Set up cabinets, cable ladders, rack systems and associated equipment.
• Provide access to buried communication cables, dig and chisel trenches.
• Operate trenching equipment, cable reel trucks and excavators.
• Maintain telephony systems, perform electronics repair and installation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of inside‑plant operation, installation, testing and repair of telecommunications equipment within the last 10 years.
• U.S. citizenship, valid U.S. driver’s license and current passport.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Preferably BICSI certification.
