Dining Facility Supervisor

About the role

The Dining Facility Supervisor oversees the day‑to‑day food service operations for a 24/7/365 dining facility. Reporting to the DFAC Manager, the role ensures safe, high‑quality food preparation, service, and sanitation while maintaining customer satisfaction and compliance with military food standards.

Key responsibilities

• Issue daily work instructions, prepare menus, and manage store movements.
• Supervise food preparation, cooking, baking, serving, and replenishment activities.
• Maintain equipment accountability, preventive maintenance, and inventory levels.
• Enforce HACCP procedures, Tri‑Service Food Code, and all safety policies.
• Monitor subcontractor performance for food preparation, cashier operations, and cleanliness.
• Lead the facility in the DFAC Manager’s absence and perform escort duties as required.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and professional environment throughout the dining area, kitchen, and storage zones.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising food service operations in a high‑tempo environment.
• Strong knowledge of military or institutional food safety regulations.
• Ability to manage personnel, subcontractors, and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping skills.

Required skills

• HACCP certification or equivalent food‑safety expertise.
