Director of Commercial

About the role

The Director of Commercial will lead Uwallet’s product and marketing strategy, driving new financial services and ensuring market leadership. This senior role combines strategic oversight, market intelligence, and cross‑functional coordination to deliver compliant, competitive, and customer‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall strategy for product and marketing teams, aligning with company goals.
• Develop new financial services based on user insights and market gaps.
• Benchmark continuously against competitors and regional fintech offerings.
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure timely product rollouts.
• Monitor OKRs across departments, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Utilize market analysis and business intelligence to guide product positioning and marketing.
• Oversee public relations, partnerships, and sponsorships in line with brand positioning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage risk mitigation.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate sub‑teams, handling recruitment, performance reviews, and succession planning.
• Manage departmental budget in line with corporate strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in commercial leadership, preferably within fintech or payments.
• Leadership certification; MBA is a plus.
• Deep understanding of Jordan’s fintech and payments ecosystem and strong knowledge of customer behavior and financial‑services market trends.
