Human Resources Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning & Analytics (MELA)

About the role

Tetra Tech is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Analytics (MELA) team in Jordan. The role will handle day‑to‑day HR services, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll inputs and performance management, reporting to the Senior Finance and Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, reference checks, salary verification and onboarding for staff and consultants.
• Maintain electronic personnel and consultant files in Egnyte and ensure accurate timesheet processing.
• Process leave requests, track leave balances and manage contract extensions with the MSI Home Office.
• Prepare HR data for Finance to support monthly payroll, tax, social security and benefits administration.
• Review consultant invoices before forwarding to Finance for payment.
• Facilitate probationary, mid‑year and annual performance appraisals and keep related records.
• Support compliance with project HR policies, Jordanian labor law and expatriate visa/relocation matters.
• Respond to routine employee queries and promote an inclusive, collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum five years of HR experience, preferably in an international or donor‑funded setting.
• Strong knowledge of Jordanian labor law and standard HR practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with electronic document‑management systems such as Egnyte.
