Informatica Data Engineer (4-7 yrs experience)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration solutions using Informatica Big Data Management and Apache Spark. The role involves working with large‑scale data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable data services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines with Informatica BDM.
• Build and optimise large‑scale processing workflows using Apache Spark/PySpark.
• Create robust ETL/ELT processes for batch and near‑real‑time data handling.
• Develop Informatica mappings, workflows, transformations and reusable components.
• Work with Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as HDFS and Hive.
• Write and tune Spark jobs for structured and semi‑structured data.
• Troubleshoot performance, data quality, and production issues across pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts and engineering teams to implement solutions.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, error handling and monitoring mechanisms.
• Participate in deployment, production support and release activities.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, ETL or big data technologies.
• Strong expertise with Informatica Big Data Management.
• Proven experience developing Spark applications; PySpark preferred.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data‑warehousing principles.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive) and handling large datasets.
• Good command of SQL for query development and optimisation.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
