Italian Chef de Cuisine

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Italian Chef de Cuisine to lead the kitchen of our property in Amman. The role combines hands‑on cooking with management of menu, purchasing and staff to ensure consistent quality and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure culinary standards and food‑safety compliance across all kitchen operations.
• Supervise daily kitchen activities and lead shift teams while personally preparing dishes.
• Develop and execute daily and seasonal Italian menu items.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, portion control and cost within the operating budget.
• Train, mentor and schedule kitchen staff, covering absences as needed.
• Monitor food preparation, storage, temperature control and presentation.
• Estimate production needs and control waste.
• Coordinate with front‑of‑house to meet guest requests and improve satisfaction.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of culinary experience, or an associate degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel & Restaurant Management with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team and maintain high standards.
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and local food‑safety regulations.
