Polisher & Painter – Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Polisher & Painter works within the hotel’s engineering team to ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest aesthetic and functional standards. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and carry out painting and polishing tasks throughout the property.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Prepare surfaces, execute painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and conduct thorough clean‑up of work areas.
• Replace light bulbs, air‑conditioner filters, and perform basic plumbing (toilet plunging, drain unclogging) and electrical tasks (lamp, switch, outlet replacement).
• Program televisions, manage inventory for housekeeping and engineering supplies, and update HVAC schedules via computer.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to the next shift using approved communication tools.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety, security, and company policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests, teammates, and supervisors.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform manual tasks safely.
