Quantitative Analyst Consultant

About the role

UNRWA is seeking a Quantitative Analyst Consultant to support the analysis of the Dbayeh Camp Population Enumeration and Housing Assessment. The consultant will work remotely for a one‑month period, delivering a complete analytical report that informs programme planning and policy development.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate the Dbayeh Camp datasets and supporting documentation.
• Compile, clean, and analyse quantitative data using appropriate statistical methods.
• Develop reproducible analytical workflows and well‑documented code.
• Produce statistical tables, charts, graphs and other visualisations to highlight key findings.
• Analyse demographic, socioeconomic, housing and vulnerability variables and interpret programmatic implications.
• Prepare technical documentation describing methodology, assumptions and processes.
• Draft a comprehensive analytical report with conclusions and recommendations.
• Revise outputs and the final report based on review feedback and present findings to RSSD management.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of progressive experience in quantitative analysis, statistical modelling, survey analysis or data science.
• Experience analysing household surveys, census or population datasets.
• Proven track record producing statistical reports and analytical publications.
• Experience with humanitarian, development or social protection data is desirable.
• Previous work within the United Nations system or other international organisations is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in R and/or Stata for statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and management (desirable).
• Ability to create high‑quality statistical tables, charts and data visualisations.
