Receiving Clerk – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Receiving Clerk plays a vital part in the smooth operation of our Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea. Reporting to the Cost Controller, you will ensure that all goods arriving at the hotel are accurately inspected, documented, and stored according to IHG standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all incoming goods, materials, and supplies against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Verify quantities, quality, expiry dates, and product specifications before acceptance.
• Maintain precise receiving records and documentation in line with hotel procedures.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Stores, Kitchen, and other departments to manage deliveries and stock needs.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly to the relevant teams.
• Label, document, and transfer received items to appropriate storage areas while upholding cleanliness and safety standards.
• Support periodic inventory counts and stock audits.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, food safety standards, and IHG procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in receiving, stores, purchasing, accounting, or a related role, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Strong numerical and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
• Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
