SATCOM O&M Support

About the role

The SATCOM O&M Support position provides day‑to‑day maintenance and operation of assigned satellite communication terminals at a site in Jordan. The incumbent ensures reliable tactical and commercial satellite links for mission‑critical communications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of satellite terminals and associated equipment.
• Operate and monitor satellite modems, redundancy switches, up/down converters, HPAs, LNAs, LNBs, waveguide joints, IF cables, antennas, antenna motors, SSPA, ACU, HVAC units, UPS and generators.
• Execute technical documentation for SAR, GAR, TSR, and ASI requests.
• Utilize test measurement and diagnostic equipment (power meters, spectrum analyzers, Firebird testers, volt meters, etc.) to verify system performance.
• Support antenna controller operations, fiber‑optic, coaxial and Ethernet cabling, and modem hub functions in a tactical environment.

Required profile

• Active US Government Secret clearance (interim acceptable) and US citizenship.
• Minimum two years experience with installation, repair, or maintenance of satellite communications electronic systems.
• Two years experience operating in a tactical satellite environment, including TDMA/FDMA modem operation.
• Associate’s degree in Electronics preferred or equivalent certifications and experience.
• DoD 8140‑approved certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+ or comparable.
