Senior Commercial Manager – Careem Shops (Jordan)

About the role

Careem is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead and expand the Careem Shops marketplace in Jordan. You will own the commercial strategy, P&L, and partnership ecosystem across multiple retail categories, driving sustainable growth and a best‑in‑class customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of the Jordan Careem Shops P&L, building annual and quarterly business plans and reporting with public‑company rigor.
• Define and defend category strategy for supermarkets, pharmacies, florists, butcheries, electronics and other sub‑verticals.
• Lead merchant acquisition and account management, expanding the base of local SMEs while improving unit economics.
• Set and monitor partner store operational standards (catalogue quality, stock accuracy, order‑acceptance times) to maintain sub‑25‑minute delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Category, Captain Operations, and cross‑functional teams to identify growth opportunities and optimise processes.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience managing P&L and commercial strategy in fast‑moving consumer goods, e‑commerce or quick‑commerce environments.
• Strong track record of building and scaling retailer partnerships across diverse categories.
• Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability and data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams.
