Senior SATCOM Engineer

About the role

The Senior SATCOM Engineer will design, install, maintain and support satellite communications and enterprise network infrastructures at the Joint Training Center in Jordan. This role provides high‑level technical support for voice, data and RF systems, ensuring reliable connectivity for mission‑critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install and maintain LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex enterprise networks and advanced RF systems.
• Operate and maintain satellite modems, redundancy switches, converters, amplifiers, antennas, UPS, generators and related equipment.
• Utilize test measurement and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting beyond built‑in‑test capabilities.
• Maintain network documentation, configuration standards, monitoring, patch management and security procedures.
• Monitor service requests, resolve issues within SLA targets and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Manage telecommunications inventory and ensure compliance with DoD 8140 qualifications.

Required profile

• Active US Secret clearance (interim acceptable) and US citizenship.
• DoD 8140 qualification for Network Operations Specialist (Level Intermediate) or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant military communications training.
• Minimum ten years of experience in satellite communications, network engineering or related fields.
